Maya Tapas & Grill

Posted on: February 15, 2009

Lincoln Road… probably the closest to a European road that we have here in the States. Art galleries, shops and outdoor restaurants make an evening stroll an event, and a dinner a dining experience.

Mushroom Soup

Meat Platter Tapas

Shrimp PAsta

My friends and I wandered to Maya Tapas & Grill. Deceived by the name, this was not strictly Tapas. In fact, only one page of the menu listed the cold and hot Tapas selection.

None the less, the food was well prepared and tasty. The Garlic Shrimp and Linguine was large enough for 2 people, possibly three, and spiced very well. A basic dish done right.

The mushroom soup, soup of the day, was deliciously creamy, smooth, and had the flavors of truffle oil and porcini mushrooms… heavenly.

The meat platter was basic, and not as impressive as the rest of the dishes. The mortadela could be found at the meat counter of any Publix.

The Garlic Shrimp Tapas were the exact garlic shrimp found in the pasta dish, seasoned well yet basic.

The sangria was decent, a little watered down, and again large.
